The Benefits of Cast Aluminum for Patio Furniture

Rust and Corrosion Resistant

Aluminum naturally resists rust and corrosion, unlike iron or steel, making it an ideal choice for furniture exposed to the elements all year long.

Durable and Strong

Its weight gives it enough stability to hold its ground in strong winds, yet it remains more manageable than wrought iron.

Low-Maintenance

Caring for cast aluminum is simple: an occasional wipe-down with soap and water is all it needs, and there's no urgency to shelter it from a little rain.

Weather-Resistant

Whether facing heavy rain, snowfall, or intense heat, cast aluminum holds its shape and integrity without warping or cracking.

Stylish and Versatile

The casting method lends itself to rich, decorative designs, making it easy to find pieces that elevate the look of any outdoor space.

Long-Lasting

Built to go the distance, cast aluminum furniture can reliably last for as long as 15 to 20 years.

How is Cast Aluminum Furniture Produced?

The casting process begins by pouring liquid aluminum into sand or metal molds, where it flows into the finest details of the mold's design. This allows manufacturers to produce beautifully ornate pieces featuring intricate carvings (think floral motifs, leaf patterns, or geometric shapes) all formed as a single solid unit. Unlike hollow tubular aluminum that is simply bent into form, cast aluminum yields thicker, more substantial designs with a richly detailed, high-end look reminiscent of wrought iron, but at a fraction of the weight. The production method can also be tailored to the desired outcome. Sand casting works well for highly elaborate pieces, while die casting delivers refined, consistent results with clean, smooth surfaces.

What is a Double-Coated Powder Finish?

A double-coated powder finish is a high-quality, two-stage protective treatment applied to cast aluminum patio furniture, engineered to outperform standard single-coat finishes in terms of strength, weather resistance, and lasting appearance. The process works by first laying down a base coat (typically a primer or rust-inhibiting layer) followed by a colored topcoat, with both layers cured in an oven to form a thick, uniform, and exceptionally tough barrier capable of standing up to the rigors of outdoor conditions.

In addition to complete cast pieces, we also carry frames comprised of wicker and sling material. These alternative materials for outdoor patio furniture can offer their own significant and unique benefits, primarily in durability, maintenance, and weather resistance. Just like cast aluminum, these materials are engineered to withstand harsh environments, including intense sun, heavy rain, and high humidity, without requiring frequent sealing or staining.

The sets come in a variety of seating groups, including dining, bar, chat, and counter. We look forward to helping you attain the perfect pieces for your backyard, patio, deck, porch, and anywhere else you would like to furnish.
